Now, I sit back and notice how towering companies give a big party. There will be a 100.000 d.U.S. speaker, an haute-cuisine chef and …a bikini show. It is a glittering affair, big band music by a big band.

It set the stage for the Cafe’s big parties: instead of a 100.000 d.U.S.-speaker, the priceless Poetry Readings led by Steve Zytveld, the daily haute cuisine, the best Dutch food, a FEAST and….real bikini shows !
How could the modest cafe do the latter? NCC’ “Winterlude” wanted the cafe to do a festive special. The idea was applauded by daughters of embassies and respected Ottawa’ families. Encouraging. !
My mission in life was to re-create Dutch ambiance, THE SPHERE !!! What IS a sphere? Does it really exist? I propose that a sphere can be made tangible at the risk of being an attractive addiction, DAILY.
Was it extra special because of Cafe WIM’s location: SUSSEX DRIVE ? Not really. Look at just opened CAFE WHIM !! Sure it is a bit out-of-town but BRIAN PAQUETTE and his WIFE do a follow-up performance.
CAFE WHIM is the new toast of the town of Smith Falls a 50 min ride from Ottawa. Exactly what I recommend for the weekend use of your automobile (use a bike in business days, remember?) A great ride !!!
I attended the GRAND OPENING and ribbon-cutting by the Mayor. They engaged a very pretty Dutch girl in suitable light mini dress who surely does represent a TOUCH-OF-DUTCH ! Excellent Staff Member !
GOOD LUCK to BRIAN and STAFF. He will show that there are healthy addictions and picking-up a whiff of that Dutch sphere that will make you go to Brian not only on a whim but every weekend…ON PURPOSE.
