Whimsical is “footloose and fancy-free.”
wimsical is: according to the millionaire Mother of Wim: advice from her Mother and the household of the Governor General of the West Indies that in essence is how to raise the child to have manners that are ‘inborn.’ The way that the child is seen: unaware of a winning way.
The best guidance is the compliment. Point-out to a visitor in the home that the child is doing the thing at hand correctly. For instance how food on the plate is taken-in with soundless use of a knife and fork. The child will hear it. The pride that follows has that manner embedded.
To (over-)hear such good compliment from a Father or Mother who are totally trusted and admired by the child will be taken-in is very nice, very useful for a lifetime. So will be the compliments that follow and give such high pleasure and pride for all of life on Earth.
Yet, the enrichment is a private thing. The winning way that was carefully implanted by most admireable people has become the way to be. The child has become a well-mannered person who is not aware of that exceptional winning way. Surely charming for an entire future life.
Why does success follow in any company that person is engaged by. I understand well that the company was pleased when the first impression was made but that that company could see that person as an ambassador who will on learning company product and policy make sales.
My well-advised Mamma said, “manners makes money.” I listened to her and saw an attempt to simplify. An unadorned easy-flow of pleasing behaviour is good for the self and others. Who doesn’t feel like the actor on screen after the movie? Good examples are welcome and useful.
When politicians take turns on a soap-box, does everyone understand or is willing to carefully judge what the speech is about? The vote goes to the one who has the right presentation, the one who has it, the one who has the most confidence, flowing from early-on praise and pride.
If pure whimsy is a your happiness at times, have a ball.
