Manners

Manners & No Second Chance

Well, it is close to midnight. V.C.W. -Virtual Cafe Wim, is still open because the question came-up to-day, ‘how were Staff Members choosen to render service on Sussex Drive?’

A. Staff Members were choosen by virtue of their manner/ parental background as well.

Cafe WIM on Sussex Drive -with the NCC as its Landlord, never had authorities involvement.
There were plenty of ‘cruisers’ in the Byward Market, but not in Cafe Wim’s 20 + years.
The place had a good sphere; carefully built and revolved on the matter of manners.

I will write a good some number of blog pages on manners. Just to give you all an idea of the history of manners is an excerpt of what the great historian John Goghlan sent to me.Castiglioni and his book of the Courtier (on manners): http://www.learn.columbia.edu/monographs/raphmon/pdf/art_hum_reading_14.pd  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b4furYK1Aes

That’s all.

Enjoy. Sleep well.

Wim

PS One does not have a second chance…….to make a first impression.

Writing about manners goes back to 1527. DELIGHTFUL reading. I hope you get the job. W.
